Caitlin & Zach: From Storm Clouds to Sunshine in Beach Haven

Plot twist: when your wedding day starts with a flash flood warning and a hotel blackout, you don't expect golden hour beach views. But Caitlin & Zach’s day? Proof that a little chaos can turn into the most incredible story.

Their Friday wedding at the Seashell Resort and Beach Club in Beach Haven, New Jersey had everything: laughter, a few weather-related hiccups, and an overwhelming amount of love. I traveled up from North Carolina to document their day—and somewhere between the thunderstorms and the sunset, I also experienced my first Pork Roll (or Taylor Ham, depending on your Jersey allegiance). Verdict? A+.

Back to the main characters. Caitlin and Zach rolled with the day like absolute pros. Once the clouds cleared, they exchanged vows right on the sand with a soft breeze, happy tears, and a seriously stunning floral setup by @thefloristlilyinthevalley. That gorgeous beach arbor? All thanks to @aisleandarbor. And major credit to Jaimee and Brittany at Seashell, who kept the day running smoothly no matter what the sky was doing.

Caitlin looked effortless in her gown from @ivoryrowbridal, and Zach kept things sharp and classic in a suit from Men’s Warehouse. The glam team at @glambeautyteam_ brought the perfect beachy vibes to hair and makeup.

At the reception, @crystalclearentertainment had the dance floor packed from the first song to the last, and the food (shoutout to Seashell Resort and Beach Club for both venue and catering!) was a crowd favorite. Their cake from @sweetmemorywaretown was almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

DIY signs printed via Canva, Staples, and Walgreens added a personalized touch, and the couple’s rings from James Allen brought everything full circle.

Caitlin & Zach, thank you for trusting me with your wild and wonderful wedding day. You reminded me that sometimes the best memories come after a little rain (and maybe a power outage).
