North Myrtle Beach Pregnancy Announcement - Sunrise Beach Session at Dunes Village Resort

This Easter, we headed on a big family trip to Myrtle Beach. We stayed at Dunes Village Resort in North Myrtle Beach, nine of us total, which meant a lot of chaos in the best way. Pirates Voyage, the Pavilion arcade, and yes, a bucket of fries on the boardwalk all made the list.

One morning, whilst everyone else was still asleep, my sister-in-law Michelle, her husband Chris and I snuck out at sunrise for a quick mini pregnancy announcement session on the beach.

After many years of hoping and waiting, they’re expecting a baby this September. Matt and I are so excited to finally become an aunt and uncle, and I’m already knee-deep in planning her baby shower.

We kept it simple. Barefoot in the sand with soft morning light and a quiet beach before the crowds showed up. The embroidered onesie was a congratulations gift I had made for them from Etsy. The Bartholomew Bear Soother is a Jellycat from Michelle’s best friend Mary, and the shells were collected over the years on our family beach trips, which made it even more special.

These are the sessions I love most. Simple, personal, and actually about the people in them.

Our three kids are already so excited to finally have a baby cousin, so this baby is walking into a very ready-made fan club. This little one is already so loved.
